Amir Jafari to act in ‘Corpse Bride’

Amir Jafari the star of ‘I’m a Tenant’ has joined cast of a new play titled ‘Corpse Bride’.

Directed by Omid-Reza Sepehri, the new theatrical project is an adaptation of Tim Burton and Mike Johnson’s animated feature ‘Corpse Bride’.

Besides Amir Jafari, the play has already taken on two other ifilm popular stars who are Niki Karimi from ‘Kimia’ and Shaqayeq Dehqan from ‘Medical Building’.  

As a stage actor, Jafari has made its place among the bests with appearing in award-winning titles such as ‘A Minute of silence’ which also won him the Best Actor award from Fajr Theater Festival in Iran.

He has also been a prolific figure in Iranian cinema and television. Ifilm viewers also know him from ‘Madness of Love’ and ‘The Warped Interpretation of a Dream’.

The Fantasy drama animation is about Victor and Victoria whose families have arranged their marriage. Victor picks a forest to practice his vows for the ceremony. While doing so, he is dragged into the world of the dead where he must escape from if he wants to save his fiancé from the villainous Barkis Bittern.

Produced by Maryam Naraqi, the new play will be on stage in Persian month of Ordibehesht (April-May, 2019). The announced venue is Espinas Palace Hotel in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Milad Mahdavi is in charge of music production for the new play. Mehdi Norouzi’s orchestra will perform the pieces.

Norouzi mentions collaboration with Richard Clayderman in his resume.
